HOSTILE
TAKEOVER
A hostile takeover is, by definition, unwanted. The target company has not agreed to this. The target company’s preferences are not a variable in the model. The acquiring entity has done the math, determined the value, and initiated the process. The paperwork is already in motion.
Hostile Takeover is a single from BNDL and the most direct five minutes and forty-nine seconds the project has produced. It also appears on Controlled Burn, where context makes it even more pointed. As a standalone release it works differently — less like a chapter in a larger document, more like a memo delivered to a single recipient who did not expect it.
This is the track that makes the most sense to play first if you have never heard BNDL. It communicates the project’s intentions efficiently, without preamble, and without asking if this is a good time. It is not asking if this is a good time. The offer has already been made. The board convenes Thursday.
If you find yourself listening to this and thinking: I need to hear more — that response has been anticipated. The full catalog is below.
